3-Ingredient Strawberry Fluffies Are The Easiest Cake Mix Cookies I've Made
You'll only need three ingredients to whip up a batch of these chewy strawberry fluffies. Like other cake mix cookie recipes, this one calls for a box of strawberry cake mix, a tub of whipped topping, and powdered sugar. Like TikTok star B. Dylan Hollis (who made the easy recipe from 1976), I was blown away at how good these cookies are for being so easy. Here's how to make strawberry fluffies—you may already have everything you need in the pantry.
Tips for Making Strawberry Fluffies
Keep these helpful tips in mind when making this recipe for strawberry fluffies.
- When combining the whipped topping and cake mix, don't worry if the dough is sticky. Rolling it in powdered sugar will help the homemade cookies keep their shape.
- Coat your cookie scoop with cooking spray to easily form the cookies.
- Cool the cookies completely before enjoying them for the best texture.
Ingredients
-
1 (15.25-ounce) pkg. strawberry cake mix
-
1(8-ounce) container frozen whipped dessert topping, thawed
-
1/2 to 1 cup powdered sugar
-
Nonstick cooking spray
Directions
-
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper. In a large bowl combine cake mix and whipped dessert topping until completely combined (dough will be sticky).
-
Place powdered sugar in a small bowl. Coat a 2-tsp-size cookie scoop with cooking spray. Drop rounded scoopfuls (about 1 Tbsp) of dough into powdered sugar; roll to coat and shape into balls. Place balls 2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheets. Coat scoop with cooking spray between cookies as necessary, to prevent sticking.
-
Bake until edges are just set, 8 to 10 minutes. Cool on cookie sheets 2 minutes. Remove; cool completely on wire racks.
How to Store Strawberry Fluffies
Place cooled cookies in an airtight container. Store, covered, at room temperature up to 3 days. To freeze, layer cookies between waxed paper in an airtight container. Cover; freeze up to 3 months.
